Ship date vs report date

Ship date is when you leave for BMT. Report date is when you must be there.

Your recruiter will tell you when to be at the MEPS or airport. “Ship date” is the day you enter active duty for BMT. Tech school has a later report date after graduation. Do not book a vacation across either date.
